Paradise Valley Athletic Club was established in 1967 by local PGA Professional, Ellis Bogan, on a 120-acre plot of land that was once considered “in the country” along Mud Creek on Old Missouri Road between Fayetteville and Springdale. After purchasing the land, Bogan secured the services of Maury Bell, a talented golf course architect, to devise an 18-hole championship layout to test the games best players and accommodate women and juniors with strategically located tees on every hole. Paradise Valley, also known as “PVAC” today, is home to many golfers in Northwest Arkansas and plays host to several USGA Championship qualifiers, ASGA designated and junior events as well.
